These Loot rules and proceedures will serve as a basic or standard method of dealing with loot.
These proceedures should be adhered to as closely as is possible unless your group has reached an agreement on a different looting method.
One must first understand Lemming Juice and as an extantion, Pie Lovers loot drama.
I have never seen a fight for gear, but I have seen fights where folks don't want gear.
Melatha: I pass
Unagi: You need to roll on that Melatha, you've passed on everything that's dropped.
Melatha: I don't wanna! Can't make me!
Unagi: I'll hold my breath!
Melatha: ... ok darn it, but this is the last time!
Group Loot (This will be the most common loot method)
1) Roll greed on green BOE's only if you can and will equip/use them on the character you are running at that moment. (You will almost always pass)
2) Pass on everything else. (This will happen on most rolls)
* Loot is awarded to the winner of the greed roll automatically.
3) If someone mis-clicked and rolled need or greed and won't use/equip it, /roll it off.
4) Decide if someone who passed only passed hoping that someone else actually needed it.
5) Discuss the loot and decide to bank the item, mule it or greed it off.
* When banking an item, a rep of each guild who is present rolls for that guild bank.
Notes *
Many Pieseekers always pass, ensuring that thier party members get what they need first... don't abuse these generous people by rolling greed on things you will not use or equip The way most runs go is that everyone passes on everything with very-very few greed rolls. There is VERY rarely more than one greed roll per run. (If someone is greedy, boot em out of the party and report them to one of the representative guild officers for the alliance. Being greedy is not tolerated in Pie Lover runs.) The item is then briefly discussed, generally someone will say, "I could use that fer an alt" or "That's an upgrade for me, but I'll only take it if nobody else needs it". Decide on who should get it as a group (All must agree), or have interested folks /roll. (This almost never happens)
If nobody has the item at this point (which is almost always the case), the item is now /rolled on as an actual greed item. The winner is awarded the item and may sell it, auction it, equip it, do whatever they want with it.
In parties that I run, I award greed loot in the order that folks appear in my party list.
Example: (Pretend that the character portraits appear in this order on my screen)
Melatha (me)
Altairien
Srathor
Deluna
Unagi
I would award the first greed item to Altairien, the next one to Srathor, the next to Deluna, the next to Unagi and knowing me I will pass and go right back to Altairien, but I should actually take the item. If a nifty BOE drops that none of us can use, it's generally rolled off between guilds that are present, to go to that guilds bank.
Once again. If someone is being greedy, report then to a Guild Master at the very least. We don't need greedy folks destroying our good humor
Master LooterYou will often use this method when you have one or more folks in the party who are not from Pie Seekers.
You simply link all items into party chat and decide who should roll on it. (everyone must agree)
Award the loot and move on.
Free For AllThis method is often used when several folks do not want loot from an instance.
I do this a great deal of the time when I'm helping folks.
I put it on Free for All so that whoever I'm helping can loot all bodies.
Sometimes, there are two or three folks I am helping.
It is up to those folks to link and /roll off or distribute items fairly and without bickering.
Arguing over loot in such a situation is *never* a good idea. When someone is passing on all items, that's definitely not the time to appear that you are greedy. I have a 100% rate of removing greedy foks from my parties.
